Queen's Influences

Queen was mainly influenced by British bands around the same time that they were.  Bands like Pink Floyd, The Who, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and David Bowie.  Their main genres they played were hard rock,  progressive rock, psychedelic rock, and pop rock.  On a lot of their songs all three, May, Mercury, and Taylor, all performed on vocals.  Most of the credit for Queen's success is given to Mercury, but you could also give credit to their producer, Roy Baker, and their sound engineer, Mike Stone.
